Chelsea seem to have sorted theit left back problem out for the first leg game against Barcelona. Michael Mancienne looks set for the call up and will be heading up against possibly the best player in the world.
Michael is an England International at Under 21 and recently has only been playing at Reserve Grade level, so it will be a massive step up for him, but it will be a game in which he will learn a great deal. Michaels last game was against West Brom in which the Chelsea Reserve Side drew 2 – 2.
Mancienne would be playing on his weaker side as he is normally a right sided player, but I’m sure the challenge of playing left back in the game, will not phase him.
With only 1 Premier League start to his name, if he plays, it will be a major chance for him to shine and get a first team place for the remainder of the season.
