Lionel Messi scored two and made another as Barcelona destroyed their arch rivals Real Madrid 2-6 in the Bernabeu.
After falling behind early on to a Higuain header, goals from Henry, a header from Puyol and a composed Messi finish gave the Catalans a deserved 1-3 lead at half time.
Real came out fighting and pulled a goal back through Sergio Ramos, and the Madrid outfit continued to press. However, there was to be no comeback as quick fire goals from Henry, Messi and then Pique handed out more humiliation to Real Madrid, on a night which will go down as one of the greatest in FC Barcelona’s colourful history.
