Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has pledged his future to the Nou Camp. With Manchester City on a massive buying spree, there has been whispers of the Premiership big spenders trying for the Argentine.
FC Barcelona’s pre season preparations will start with training building up to a game on 26th July against Valerenga, with two more friendlies along with the SuperCup and Gamper Cup also scheduled for August.
But while in Panama on a promotion, Messi declared: “I want to stay for a long time with Barcelona as a player. I still have a lot to do – and I do not consider myself a legend of the club.
Leo has welcomed the prospect of playing alongside new Barcelona signing David Villa. The Argentina star admits he was impressed by Villa’s form during the World Cup.
“Villa will be very good for us,” said Messi. “He showed what he could do last season with Valencia and also with the Spanish team. I hope to meet him for preseason and to start playing together.
