After scoring both his El Clasico goals recently, the Argentine superstar lifted up his Barcelona shirt to reveal another shirt he wore underneath.
The T-Shirt read: ‘Sindrome X Fragil’, which is the name of a medical condition known in English as Fragile X Syndrome. It is a genetic problem that leads to emotional, mental, and sometimes physical problems in its sufferers.
Leo has spent time in recent weeks with sufferes of this condition, and it wil always be something close to his heart, as he hismelf was a sufferer of growth hormonal problems as a child.

As the father of a child with Fragile X, I can think of no better tribute to all the kids & families than Messi’s contribution in the demolition job they pulled off against Real Madrid on Saturday. Thank you Lionel, you’re a class act. You have won over 2 fans from the USA. Keep up the great work.

Messi is the best player and also a great man….every time free week he take care of a charity….just look in a moment of excitement like scoring against real madrid he remembers sick or handicapped people and their families….but what hurt me real madrid fans while he was showing his shirt they showed him their middle finger……lame

Thankyou so much for making people know about fragile x syndrome we have 2 children who suffer from this condition and nobody understands what myself and my wife go’s through, because people don’t have not heard of the condition we have little sympathy. We understand ther are alot of children worse off and for that we are truely sorry, we are just so grateful you have picked up on this terrible condition that leaves children and adults with such anxiety’s that they just can’t cope, yet on the other hand they are the most happiest people on earth. Thankyou again we do not feel outcasts anymore because of you.

Just to let you know there is always hope … Messi being reminded by some very annoying commentators (that he had never scored against an English team) stuck the dagger into Man Utd with his 70th minute goal … and it was a header too (from the shortest guy on the field).
