Lionel Messi has announced that he will help former club Newells Old Boys, with the news that he will help finance the restoration of the training complex, the Bella Vista. With the club being in financial ruins, they have barely spent a penny on maintenance on the training facilities.
The Bella Vista is the home of where Lionel began his football career until 2000, in which he feels that he owes something back to the club. The training complex is in a dreadful state and with the plans of re-development, how many more Messi’s are going to come through the system.
At this moment they are unsure of what needs improving or cleaning up, but it is expected that a gymnasium will be built for the first team.
