Super sub Messi came off the bench to send Barcelona in a comfortable position at the top of La Liga, with a 2 – 1 victory over rivals Racing Santander.
Santander raced into the lead on the 56th minute from Nikola Zigic, but Barcelona responded well. With the Catalan star Messi spoiling the show after he, put the ball in the back of the net on the 65th and 81st minute, whilst also achieving Barcelonas 5,000th goal in the La Liga competition. The match ball will be going into the clubs museum to celebrate this fantastic achievement.
