Lionel Messi, along with five of his Barcelona team mates, have been nominated for the UEFA awards for the 2008-2009 season. The results will be revealed at the draw for the group stage of this years UEFA Champions League.

UEFA Club Forward of the Year
Samuel Eto’o (Barcelona, now Inter), Lionel Messi (Barcelona), Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United, now Real Madrid)
A UEFA Club Player of the Year will also be awarded from this shortlist of twelve.
