Chelsea star Frank Lampard has admitted that a place in the Champions League Final would be simply amazing, but it will be a tough task against Barcelona. Lampard feels that Barcelona are the best team in Europe.
Frank said: ‘We are desperate to win the Champions League, it’s true,’ Lampard told Spanish paper El Mundo Deportivo. ‘But Barcelona are the best team in Europe at this time. It will be a very difficult tie and we’ll have to work hard to go through.
‘But we knocked out Liverpool and we must carry on at the same hectic pace and level of intensity. I don’t know if they are favorites. Possibly they are because of the way they are playing. But no matter if you say you’re the favorite or not, it is what you do on the day of the match.
Last week Lampard praised Lionel Messi as being the best player in the the world, he went onto state that Lionel will be a major force in the side success in the first leg, even with Michael Mancienne
‘Barcelona have many great players,’ said Lampard. ‘But obviously Leo (Messi) stands out above others. Unfortunately, Cole was booked against Liverpool. But someone will have to go out and do the job.’
