The Winger or Striker currently plays for Spanish side, Barcelona FC. Lionel, started his career out at Newells Old Boys in 1995. Messi, currently wears the no.10 shirt, has scored 47 goals in just under 100 appearances for the club.
When Lionel was 11, he was unfortunately diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency, by this time Lionel had transferred to River Plate. River Plate couldn’t afford the $1,500 a month treatment, in which Lionel moved to Barcelona after successful trials with them.
